Fertilizer - (Nitrogen-Phosphorus-Potassium)

Maintaining adequate nutrient levels (N-P-K) is a critical component to keeping a healthy, dense lawn. Our approach is centered around current best management practices. It is important to note that newly established lawns will require more nitrogen the first year than established lawns.

Lime (Ph adjustment) - Limestone is commonly used to raise soil PH. Lawns grow best in slightly acidic soils. (~5.5-6). In most cases Ph adjustment will be unnecessary. However, if your soil’s Ph is at or below 5, we recommend (2) applications per year. (Spring and Fall)

Water saver treatment - Many heavy soil types will become “hydrophobic” if moisture levels fall too low. This can lead to excessive water usage and run-off. A wetting agent works by reducing the surface tension of the soil, allowing water to more easily penetrate. We employ this product when preparing for renovations and prior to summer drought conditions. While this treatment is not a magic substitute for water, it can help to considerably to improve irrigation efficiency.
